Todd Peck, born in January 1986, has already been racing for 12 – yes, 12! – years, since the young age of 14. This NASCAR driver, who hails out of Central Pennsylvania, is part of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and made his debut in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East at the Greenville Pickens Speedway in 2007.
Peck has raced in over 15 races in the east series and has finished in the Top 25 in about half of them!
Todd Peck has done all of this while bravely battling Juvenile Arthritis, never letting it stand in the way of his dreams!
An inspiration to the 300,000+ American children and teens who live with JA, Todd Peck will carry the “Kids get Arthritis too” decal on his No. 96 Chevrolet throughout the team’s five-race schedule in 2011. According to the official Peck Motorsports website, his team will also host kids and their families who suffer from juvenile arthritis during their 2011 race season! The team has named Juvenile Arthritis as its official foundation and charitable outreach, and will work closely with the Arthritis Foundation.
JA patients and families in attendance at this year’s Juvenile Arthritis Conference will have the opportunity to meet this inspiring young man as well as get a photo with him. Stay tuned to this blog for an upcoming interview with Todd Peck about his life as a NASCAR racer, and, his life with Juvenile Arthritis — and how one doesn’t exclude the other.
